Intel Laminar RM2 CPU Cooler (for Intel Core Ultra 5 & 7 Desktop Processors)

The Intel Laminar RM2 is included in the box with qualifying Intel Core Ultra 5 and Core Ultra 7 Series 2 desktop processors and is designed for everyday productivity, home computing, and moderate workloads where out-of-the-box CPU cooling convenience is the priority. It is well-suited for office desktop builds, home PC setups, student systems, and budget gaming rigs using Intel Core Ultra 225, 225F, 235, 265, and 265F processors at their rated 65W TDP without overclocking.

The Laminar RM2 features a copper heatsink base and core for superior direct-contact heat transfer from the CPU IHS into the aluminium fin stack, enabling efficient heat dissipation within the compact 65W TDP thermal envelope. The PWM-controlled variable-speed fan adjusts automatically between 600 and 3250 RPM in response to CPU thermal demand, operating at a quiet 30 dBA at standard load (2400 RPM, 40°C inlet, 65W) for near-silent everyday desktop operation — with an even lower 3.6 BA sound power level compared to the previous Laminar RM1. The compact 100×100×47mm overall form factor ensures compatibility with virtually all standard ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX desktop cases. Intel incorporates sustainability into the RM2's design with 8% post-consumer recycled plastic in the construction, including ocean-bound plastic, reflecting Intel's environmental commitments. The 4-pin PWM connector provides precise motherboard-controlled speed management for automatic thermal response. Intel validates the Laminar RM2 specifically against supported Core Ultra Series 2 processor TDPs for compatible, out-of-the-box performance.
