The V30X combines four instruments in one compact 250g body — an optical power meter, visual fault locator, frequency tester, and RJ-45 continuity tester — dramatically reducing the number of tools a technician needs to carry for standard fiber and copper network testing in the field. The optical power meter covers ten popular wavelengths — 850, 980, 1270, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550, 1577, 1625, and 1650nm — with an InGaAs sensor, a measuring range of -70dBm to +10dBm, ±5% uncertainty, 0.01dBm resolution, and ±2% linearity for accurate optical power readings across both multimode and singlemode fiber networks. The 650nm Visual Fault Locator emits 1mW of red laser light in three selectable modes — Steady On, Slow Flashing, and Fast Flashing — enabling quick visual identification of fiber breaks, bends, and connectors up to several kilometres. The frequency tester supports 270Hz, 1KHz, and 2KHz for signal modulation identification on measured optical power. The RJ-45 continuity tester with Fast (0.5 second) and Slow (1 second) modes enables quick copper cable pair verification for LAN and structured cabling installations. A large, clear display simplifies reading measurement results, even for technicians with minimal training. USB-C charging via the included USB-C cable makes topping up the 700mAh rechargeable lithium battery straightforward using any standard USB-C power source. The Auto-Off function (ON/OFF configurable) conserves battery during field deployments when the instrument is inadvertently left on.
