The RiT Tech R3296001 CAT6A STP Field Termination Plug is built for structured cabling installers, IT infrastructure engineers, AV/security integrators, and network technicians who need to terminate Cat.6A shielded cabling directly at a device endpoint — such as a security camera, wireless access point, PoE switch port, or network device — where a field-terminated plug is required rather than a factory-assembled patch cord. The R3296001 is compliant with ANSI/TIA-568.2-E:2024 — the latest revision of the TIA standard governing balanced twisted-pair telecommunication cabling — ensuring the terminated link meets current 10GBase-T performance requirements up to 100 metres. The fully shielded metal housing, constructed from zinc die-cast with nickel plating and backed by copper foil EMI shielding tape, provides comprehensive immunity against external electromagnetic interference and alien crosstalk from adjacent cables — critical for maintaining 10G signal integrity in dense cable environments. RJ45 plug contacts are finished with 50 micro-inch gold plating over phosphor bronze with nickel underplating — providing outstanding corrosion resistance, low contact resistance, and excellent signal conductivity through 750+ plug-jack mating cycles. IDC contacts use titanium copper with tin plating for reliable field termination of both solid and stranded 22–24 AWG conductors with 5–20 termination cycle durability. PoE compatibility covers IEC 60512-99-002 Type III 60W and Type IV 100W — enabling use with the full PoE++ power class spectrum. The innovative paired-conductor plug design keeps cable pairs together throughout the termination process, reducing wiring errors and streamlining installation.
